The Barracas Route is a cultural experience based on sustainability that runs through La Albufera and allows you to immerse yourself in Valencian traditions. During the tour, you will have the opportunity to explore two historic Barracas and visit the house and an engine responsible for regulating the water in the rice fields, in addition to sailing in the emblematic Albuferencs, the traditional Valencian boats, in which electric motors have been installed to navigate the waters of La Albufera sustainably.This itinerary will offer you a direct vision of the life of our ancestors, who inhabited El Palmar, dedicating themselves to rice cultivation and eel fishing as their main source of subsistence. Their way of life was based on sustainability, a principle that has endured throughout the centuries and is still alive today.

The Barraca Tío Aranda route
On this route you can visit the Barraca del Tío Aranda with the option of taking a boat trip through the most beautiful landscapes of La Albufera of Valencia.This 18th century barraca is a gem of traditional Valencian architecture.It has the same level of protection as La Lonja and La Catedral of the city of Valencia.It is the only barraca still standing in the village of El Palmar (Valencia) that dates from the 18th century. In fact, it is the oldest barraca in the Valencian Community.
