Barraca Fang i Pallús
Located in one of the most extraordinary spots to watch the sunset from El Palmar.Although its origin dates back to the last third of the 20th century, its shape, proportion, and distribution are like those of traditional barracas. It has a rectangular floor plan in a model called “passadís”. This is an internal corridor that provides access to the different rooms and kitchen. The interior space is a bit more modern than the old barracas, as are the doors and windows, which are also larger to gain more light inside.
Barraca del Tío Aranda
In the heart of El Palmar is the oldest barraca in the Valencian Community, dating from the late 18th century, and represents the genuine barraca par excellence, so scarce today in our geography. This historic property has been rehabilitated according to traditional uses and customs and with the use of sustainable materials. The barraca has a rectangular plan, without attached constructions, and with an area of 73.71m2; the facade is 5.90 meters wide and 12.60 meters long in depth.
