Alcatí Club

In the heart of the Albufera of Valencia

Alcatí Business Sports Club

We carry out business networking events organized by Economía 3, and also independent and personalized events for each company that requests it.With its economic contribution, we encourage the maintenance of infrastructures that, if it were not for private initiative, could not have been recovered and offered to society as a cultural and architectural legacy. Those individuals who are also committed to the environment and decide to celebrate their wedding or communion in these spaces also contribute to the maintenance of traditional architecture, as partners for a day.Making society aware of the need to maintain this tradition, listed as a Site of Cultural Interest, is another of the main missions of our entity through our L‘Alcatí Lateen Sailing Association. For this, different “albuferencs” have been recovered at our pier, both for practicing lateen sailing and for living the experience of navigating the Albufera in a sustainable way with electric motor boats.

Traditional Architecture

The Club allocates both economic and human resources to the maintenance and recovery of the traditional architecture of the area. Our mission is to preserve the architectural heritage of La Albufera, including engines, “barracas” and “ceberas”, which is why the Club is based in the Motor del Tancat de L‘Alcatí, a space that we care for and pamper so that all companies can enjoy it.We are also committed to other spaces such as the Barraca Fang i Pallús -built in the last third of the 20th century- and the Barraca de Aranda -from the end of the 18th century-, both located in El Palmar, two architectural jewels that evoke the times of our ancestors.

Sport: Lateen Sailing

Promoting the sport of Lateen Sailing is another of our tasks, a traditional way of sailing that was already used by Valencians in the 14th and 15th centuries. As a means of transport, this sail guaranteed the exploitation of native resources, such as fishing, agriculture or hunting, being vital for rice cultivation.Making society aware of the need to maintain this tradition, listed as a Site of Cultural Interest, is another of the main missions of our entity through our L‘Alcatí Lateen Sailing Association. For this, at our pier, different “albuferencs” have been recovered, both for practicing lateen sailing and for carrying out excursions by electric motor or perching through the varied settings of the area.

Valencian Gastronomy

The third pillar of this Club is the dissemination of the traditional gastronomy of La Albufera, maintaining the flavors and essences that make up the gastronomic heritage of the area.Hand in hand with our Chef and different local collaborations, we value traditional Valencian cuisine as part of our history and popular culture.
